Teachings of a Fool No. 1

image

A Teacher promised a disciple that he would reveal something much more important than was to be found in all the scriptures. When the disciple, being very impatient, asked the Teacher yet again to keep his promise, the Teacher said:

‘Go outside into the rain, and stand with your arms open and your head raised to the sky.’

The next day, the disciple returned to the Teacher and informed him:

‘I took your advice and I was soaked to the bone… I felt a perfect fool.’

‘Well’, replied the Teacher, ‘for the first day that is quite a revelation, is it not?’

‘Someone engaged in self-study should not have a fool for a teacher’

Or perhaps learning to be a Fool is the only way to learn? Become The Fool and be foolish always.

Thus Endeth the lesson.

I added this part, omega.

War of the Elements

water judgement
warring elements
Fools lost as always
in the between
such great art
made to remind us
of the worst time
for us mortal few
from a water birth
into the crucible we go
to the
baptism by fire
from above and below
the fire burns hottest
in the heart
our mind and body
consumed in fire
to ashes
they will go
we barely have a chance
to walk the razor’s edge
waiting for the phoenix
to take flight
so before that day
create all you can
and perhaps the
phoenix will
find rest
at last

Way of The Fool

foolish

Wandering in the desert
Wise as serpents
Gentle as doves
Clever and quick
Smart and sharp
Bubbling creation
Seeing around the corner
Holding the line
To the Golden future
Non-linear
Spooky action
Here then not
Fear and impurities
Dross removed
Loving All
Light shining
Nothing can stand
Before our Song
Endymion rises
Hear the song
No teachers needed
