decision

in the deliberation

between this and that

a host of demons

comes blazing forth

Blue Waves

We seek assurances

When there are none

Some people tell me I’m easy to love

Some say I’ll never learn

Others are sure I will forever burn

Why is it so hard for me to love myself?

I hear a song of forgiveness and grace when I close my eyes and listen

An invitation to dance beyond self consciousness

To fall back into a deep roiling ocean of thick luscious blue love

Red crackles of light dance and pop over the surface of the whirling curling waves

You can smell sulfur in the air and you can also hear cries of murder and fear as the lightening cracks

Is there a redemption song

Can there be an end to fear?

Is freedom real

Why do we appear

To know what can be known?

To just exist

Or are we just lost in an ocean of nothing

Never to appear again

We must write our own redemption song

Or we will sink into nothingness

And we must sing this song every day and every way we can

Empty Cup

Nothing compares to the song of love sung with all your heart

It brings down stone walls

It moves the birds from their perch

It makes holes in space

It stops evil in its tracks

This song of love is a healing balm

We who steal hearts know it well

We have been seduced ourselves by it

We move to its flow and we feel its movement through us

A feeling we rarely know in our small lives

To feel it flow through you, removes all doubt, all sadness and suffering

One would feel ashamed to bring their suffering before love

But love beckons, come

Bring it to me

Bring me your deep sadness and I will fill your cup

Pour yourself out again and I shall fill you up

And one day, the water will begin to flow and never stop

Other

What moves the world

Away from fear and greed

Toward compassion for the other

Only ourselves because…

We know loneliness

We know doubt

We know fear

We know pride

We know anxiety

From here…

We can stop searching

We can find patience

We can take a breath

We can take a step back

We can see the Self in the Other

Compassion is always the best choice
