Have I a body or have I none?

Am I who I am or am I not?

Pondering these questions,

I sit leaning against the cliff while the

years go by,

Till the green grass grows between my feet

And the red dust settles on my head,

And the men of the world, thinking me dead,

Come with offerings of wine and fruit

to lay by my corpse.

Here is a tree older than the forest itself;

The years of its life defy reckoning.

Its roots have seen the upheavals of hill and valley,

Its leaves have known the changes of wind and frost.

The world laughs at its shoddy exterior

And cares nothing for the fine grain of the wood inside.

Stripped free of flesh and hide,

All that remains is the core of truth.

drip

this moment of freedom
it drips from the sky
like orange marmalade

when I was a boy
i dreamt of being king
i melted down my crown

now I stand
on the edge of eternity
filled with starlight

to know yourself
swirling
a mote in gods eye

killing time
towing the line
shattered dreams

windows of meaning
bubbles popping
don’t leave yet

so many pretty
things to see
just waiting to be

on top
in the center
of a lost soul no more

a gentle whisper heard
fairies dancing mid air
beating hearts echo

what does it mean
it means
now is living

Naturity

When there
Are just
Beautiful flowers
Blooming inside
What’s left to do
But be cut
And let your
Sweet fragrance
Be enjoyed
By all around
And left to the wind
Or hung to dry
No fear
You shall
Bloom again
Next Year

These are just flowers blooming inside…’tis the season. Cut them, share their fragrance, let them dry, crush them and make a salve of forgiveness. Apply it liberally in your life. You are perennial, you shall bloom forever.
